    RE Refund of Payment

I paid some money to Dore to enable a family member to be assesed by Dore. This family member has not been assesed yet due to unforseen circumstances. I have only just found out that Dore is not operating currently but very very disapointed that I have not been contacted or my money refunded. I have tried to contact them but their number is unavailable. The money paid was £500.00. What do I do and how do I get my money back.

    Re: RE Refund of Payment

Hello, I too have this issue..

We booked an appointment on 20th May.  On 23rd May we were emailed saying that the company was closed!  The payment was taken from my bank account on the VERY day they went into administration.

I have called, left messages, emailed, and all to no avail!  My son has possible dyslexia/aspergers and quite apart from the disappointment caused by not having the assessment the loss of this money means we are unable to get him assessed anywhere else!

I was extremely excited having read all the success stories, now I am just left with a bad taste in my mouth.   I feel extremely thoroughly let down and hurt by all this.  My son is 10 and starts secondary school in a year.  We were SO hopeful, now we are just downright disgusted that our money was taken when they were obviously aware of what was going on.

I have contacted my bank, and they are trying to get the money back for us, but I don't hold out much hope.

I appreciate that lots of people have had nothing but good results from this program.  But for myself and my son, it has simply made us angry, hurt and very very poor!

    Yours in disgust

Hi, please go onto the consumerdirect.gov.uk website.  There is a phone number for you and if you ring them (or as I did filled in an enquiry form via email on their website) they will call you back and give you some advice.  They were very good and really knew what they were talking about.  It's worth giving them a ring as they put my mind at rest that I was covered if anything happened and that I wouldn't lose all my money.  Smile

You all need to see the letter / E mail from Knoll - Administrators that came yesterday July 23rd and sums up the whole situation
