Routine is important for them and the mums I had to keep a routine with Leila and her exercises to enable me to cope with work, a toddler in tow and a 12 year old who thought he was 20 but acted 2. it helps to keep them focussed and it becomes part of their daily routine. Ellie XXX

My son is 9 and we have just built it into our daily routine. Mornings are easier, but we have some negotiation in the evenings - usually after a favourite TV programme.

I also treat him to a PS2 game or DVD at each assessment which helps us tick along.
