Kayc, I'm still catching up with all the posts here in the last few days, and can imagine your shock - what a horrible way to end your holiday. If you are due an assessment soon, you should be able to get into MyDore, but I think those who still have plenty of exercises in their book can't actually access it yet.

As far as I'm aware, there's no such restriction - every active PID should be able to log in. If you can't, check you're definitely on the right MyDore site for your country; it might also be that our system has a slightly different surname spelling (for example). If all else fails, try using the feedback form and we'll have a look.

I dont believe this!! This is the first i have heard of DORE closing, and i only got a 'personal message' via email today! Both my husband and son have 6 months remaining on the course and it has cost us thousands.
Can i cancel my direct debit (paid on 3rd of the month to Zebra finance - an associate of DORE)?
If i do that - will Zebra start chasing me for the remaining 6 months payments?
I pay almost £200 a month and am not prepared to pay for a service that we are not receiving! What should I do?
To be honest - i'm absolutely furious with DORE for not getting in touch until today - that's a joke! Some people got text messages or letters but i have had nothing apart from a video message that didnt really tell me anything - hence me posting a message here.
Any advice will be greatly welcomed!

we also feel for the staff, they also are being let down, the staff have been very good to us & we would like to thank you, we realize its not your fault,

Hi
If you click on exercises you should get a page with exercise codes on (KG XS etc) grouped into triangles, squares etc. If you click on a code you should get a video pop up and start playing. If not, check your internet options you may be stopping pop ups on that site maybe.

KayC, there is also a section where you can grade your exercises and generate new ones if your assessment date has passed. Dore are working on finding a solution for us. For the moment, use the MyDore site and check their Latest News section. Today they uploaded maintenance exercises, and it is changing on a daily basis. If you send me a PM, I'm always happy to give you advice, and we can chat on the phone if you like.

hello bugalug, thank you, im having problems with jamie, he has refussed to do his exercises for 2 days, saying he doesnt have to see the dore doctor /staff anymore so theres no point, my head is spinning trying to get him back on track, i`ll try again tomorrow see if i can talk him round, im feeling quite down at the minute, i have just finished writting a letter, as im trying to get jamie(he is under senco) a statement for school, to get him more help, the school is useless, they say our area doesnt reckonise dyspraxia or dyslexia, my son only gets 1 hour a week help in a group of about 5, im trying to find out where i can get jamie tested for dyspraxia and dyslexia without having to pay and where it will be reckonised by our schools, i have a letter from dore (thank you dore) saying jamie is a high risk, which i will be sending with my letter, ive been waitting 6 weeks so far for a letter from our hospital as jamie also has epilepsy which is also known for causing learning problems, my head is just spinning,i feel so sorry for my son, im also feeling let down by the hospital.i told them how imported this letter is for jamies case, 6 weeks im still waiting, feel like im banging my head against a wall, just feel like crying,

Kayc, I've replied to you on your other thread. You need to be strong. Its a difficult time, but we will all get through it. Wynford could have just walked away, and didn't. He is trying to get us all through the programme as best he can. HANG IN THERE! I understand completely about fighting the system. Its extremely frustrating and I know we're not alone - lots of us parents on here have been through the same process Kay.

Have you seen a peadiatricain about the dyspraxia? (Assuming you are in the UK), our children have been diaganosed on the NHS. They have then seen OT's (on the NHS) . The OT's we have seen only work with children with dyspraxia and have then gone in and worked with school and been really helpful.
Hope you make some progress soon

masterbuilder, you also reminded me that Harry had an Ed Psych come into the school to assess him, although no formal diagnosis, they did discuss with us Harry's difficulties and that does give you a starting block to further investigate. Having said that, at the end of the day, you get a label, but in my experience, not a lot of additional help.

Label helped mine to understand why they were different and they both felt a lot more positive. Also with teh label we could access OT support and they have been stunning.
Guess it depends on different areas, but OT support has been brilliant in Nottingham, but there is a very long waiting list.
