    Australian/International Petition?

Being an Aussie, I'm not allowed to sign the petition.  I've emailed every UK person I know (all two of them), to ask them to sign, and told my non-UK friends to forward to their UK friends.  That's as much as I can do.

Perhaps an Australian petition would be helpful as well?  I've emailed the PM, and I can see from other posts that many others have done so as well, but I'm thinking that a more organised approach might be beneficial.

I'm still searching for the equivalent web page to the UK Government petition page.  If anyone knows where it is, I'll copy the existing petition.  Otherwise, there's a global petition website - http://www.gopetition.com/ that could be used.

What do you think?  This one could be signed by anyone.

The petition is a good idea but honestly Monica can you see KRudd helping us in any way if he wont help our pensioners, good luck with it but really when it is all said and done this is DORE's responsibility and mess, they should be cleaning it up, not our government, as I have said in my other posts, just get the 5500 people in Australia through, the future of DORE is really the future they can work out, the reality is now and the honoring of the contracts they have made with the 5500 people in Australia, where there is a will there is a way, a small amount of money from everybody every 7 weeks in Australia to do their assessments until they have finished, as ridiculous as it is that we have to consider this when we are paid up but desperate times call for desperate measures, by no means do I mean that DORE can profit from us all over again, we shouldn't even have to do this but to finish the programs surely there could be some sort of compromise between DORE and us.

We need to fix this now, as you know anything with the government takes years and we just dont have that time, lets hope Wynford has solved our situation in his message that Jevon has said he will nag him to do next week.

If enough people bug Wynford (not the government) he may work out a solution for us, unfortunately we in Australia have to look after our own backs, we wont even have a website soon and are definitely not being offered appointments as you know.

An international petition is a good idea but will only be considered valid if signatures cannot be forged using fake names and fake email addresses for example. This is why the UK government petition is the only one I know of that is legally recognised by law. The vast majority (perhaps all) petition websites do nothing but make those voting feel a little better and optimistic.
